Outlook On Top Stocks Today | Share Market Tips

STOCKS TO WATCH- Wednesday - Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Jindal Stainless, Tata Steel

Rate-sensitive stocks:

Rate sensitive stocks such as auto, banking and real estate will remain in focus on Wednesday ahead of the RBI monetary policy decision later in the day.

Bayer CropScience Ltd:

Bayer CropScience Ltd., the third largest agriculture input company, will be in focus after it reported 26% rise in its net profit at Rs 368 million for the quarter ended Dec. Its net profit stood at Rs 293 million in the year-ago period.

Bharti Airtel Ltd:

Bharti Airtel Ltd., the largest telecom service provider, will be in focus after its board of directors in a meeting approved investment in its wholly-owned subsidiaries Bharti Airtel International (Mauritius), Bharti Airtel International (Netherlands) BV (BAIN) and Bharti International (Singapore) Pte will be held entirely by Network i2i Ltd (Ni2i), Mauritius, another wholly-owned subsidiary of the company. The company will continue to hold 100% of Ni2i. BAIN will continue to hold the shareholding in African operating companies. The company's investment in its wholly-owned subsidiaries Bharti Airtel (USA), Bharti Airtel (Hong Kong) and Bharti Airtel (UK) will be held entirely by BIPSL, another wholly-owned subsidiary of the company. The resultant 'vertical step by step shareholding structure' envisaged by the above restructuring aims to offer number of benefits including delayering and simplification of structure and synergies without any change in ultimate ownership over the said subsidiaries.

Blue Dart Express Ltd:

Blue Dart Express Ltd., the logistics services provider, will be in focus after it reported a 46.31% fall in its standalone net profit at Rs 281.7 million for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2016. Its standalone net profit in the year-ago period was Rs 524.7 million.

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd:

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd., the major minerals and lignite miner, will be in focus after it posted a net profit of Rs 465.4 million for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2016 as compared to Rs 466.1 million for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2015.

Infosys Ltd:

Infosys Ltd., the second largest software exporter, will be in focus on media reports suggesting the company considering share buyback. The company is considering a large share buyback worth about Rs 120 billion to return part of its huge idle cash to its shareholders, CNBC-TV18 reported citing unidentified sources.

Jindal Stainless Ltd:

Jindal Stainless Ltd., the stainless steel maker, will be in focus after it posted a net profit of Rs 400 million for the quarter ended Dec 31, 2016 against net loss of Rs 1.34 billion in the corresponding quarter last year.

National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd (NHPC):

National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Ltd., the state-owned hydropower producer, will be in focus after it posted an annual 25.8% jump in its net profit at Rs 2.15 billion for the third quarter and also announced a buyback plan to raise Rs 26.17 billion.

Quess Corp Ltd:

Quess Corp Ltd., the leading integrated service provider, will be in focus after subsidiary of Thomas Cook (India), has entered into definitive agreements for acquiring Comtel Solutions Pte. Ltd., Singapore on February 06, 2017.

Tata Steel Ltd:

Tata Steel Ltd., the largest steel maker, will be in focus after it announced improvement in sales volume and higher prices of steel, the company got back to the profit mode by posting a consolidated net profit of Rs 2.31 billion for the Dece quarter. It had registered a consolidated net loss of Rs 27.48 billion in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

United Breweries (Holdings) Ltd:

United Breweries (Holdings) Ltd., the United Breweries parent company, will be in focus after a major jolt to liquor baron Vijay Mallya, the Karnataka High Court on Tuesday ordered the winding up of the company, the parent company of UB Group, for recovering dues payable by the UBHL-promoted defunct Kingfisher Airlines Limited.

Earnings Today:

Bharat Forge, Cipla, Hero MotoCorp, NTPC and United Breweries will announce their financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2016 on Wednesday.
