Natco Pharma Ltd:

Natco Pharma Ltd., the Hyderbad-based drug maker, will be in focus after the company Tuesday received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) approval for generic Armodafinil tablets (50mg, 150mg and 250mg), used as wakefulness promoting agent. Natco and its marketing partner Breckenridge Pharmaceutical Inc. plan to launch this product in USA market immediately.

Pfizer Ltd:

Pfizer Ltd., Indian arm of US drug major Pfizer Inc., Tuesday said it will be launching a series of products as line extensions under the Corex brand name, starting with the first launch in Dec 2016. and subsequent launches over the next year. Pfizer has decided to discontinue the manufacturing of the current Corex Cough Syrup formulation, which recorded sales of Rs 2.44 billion in fiscal year ended March 31, 2016.

State Bank of India Ltd:

State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest lender, has received Competition Commission of India's (CCI) approval for merging Bhartiya Mahila Bank (BMB) with SBI.

Tata Power Company Ltd:

Tata Power returned to profit in the fiscal second quarter ended Sep 30 with consolidated net profit of Rs 3.36 billion against a loss of Rs 958 million in the same period a year ago.

UCO Bank Ltd:

The public sector lender Tuesday said that it has raised Rs 2.70 billion by issuing over 71 million shares to Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) on preferential basis at Rs 37.74 apiece.

Vivimed Labs Ltd:

Vivimed Labs Wednesday said that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has completed the inspection of its Finished Dosage Form making unit in Alathur. The drug maker has witnessed a favourable outcome post the inspection.

Sun Pharma acquires Russian company for $60 million | Stock Trading News

Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd, the largest drug maker in India, may move on Wednesday after it announced of entering into a definitive agreements to acquire 85.1% stake in JSC Biosintez, a Russian Pharmaceutical company at $24 million.

The acquisition will be executed through subsidiary companies, Sun Pharma said Wednesday in a statement to the stock exchanges.
The company would also assume a debt of nearly $36 million for this acquisition.

On Tuesday, Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries fell 0.17% to Rs 689.20 at the close of Stock trading on the National Stock Exchange.

शरिया बैंकिंग के लिए बैंकों में RBI का इस्‍लामिक विंडो शुरू करने पर विचार...

रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया बैंकों में इस्‍लामिक विंडो खोलने पर विचार कर रहा है। ऐसा देश में शरिया बैंकिंग के तहत ब्‍याज मुक्‍त बैंकिंग के लिए किया जा सकता है। केंद्र सरकार और आरबीआई ऐसे लोगों को बैंकिंग से जोड़ने के लिए शरिया बैंकिंग की संभावनाएं तलाश रहे हैं जो धार्मिंक मा‍न्‍यताओं के विरोध के डर से बैंक से नहीं जुड़ रहे हैं।

एक आरटीआई के माध्‍यम से पता चला है कि आरबीआई ने इस मसले में फाइनेंस मिनिस्‍ट्री को लेटर लिखा है। आरबीआई ने मिनिस्‍ट्री से कहा है कि देश में इस्‍लामिक बैंकिंग का अनुभव नहीं है। इसलिए एकाएक इस्‍लामिक या शरिया बैंकिंग शुरू नहीं की जा सकती है। इसके लिए धीरे-धीरे प्रयास करने जरूरी हैं। इसमें सबसे पहले सामान्‍य बैंकों में इस्‍लामिक विंडो खोलकर कुछ सेवाएं शुरू की जा सकती हैं। इसके बाद जब बैंकों के पास शरिया बैंकिंग सेवाओं का अनुभव होगा तब अलग से शरिया बैंकिंग की शुरूआत की जा सकती है।


शरिया बैंकिंग इस्‍लाम के नियमों के तहत होती है। इसमें बिना ब्‍याज के धन रखने और उधार लेने की व्‍यवस्‍था होती है। आरबीआई ने कहा है कि इस तरह की बैंकिंग के लिए सबसे पहले इस्‍लामिक मान्‍यताओं के पहलुओं पर गौर करना होगा। आरबीआई ने इसके तकनीकी पहलुओं को समझकर फाइनेंस मिनिस्‍ट्री को एक रिपोर्ट भी भेजी है। अगर सभी पहलुओं के परिणाम सकरात्‍मक आते हैं तो इस्‍लामिक बैंकिंग के उत्‍पादों को भारत में लागू किया जा सकता है।

LT Foods Ltd., the owner of 'Daawat' basmati rice brand, Wednesday said its fiscal second-quarter consolidated net profit rose 3.9% on higher sales volume. The company reported consolidated net profit of Rs 270 million in the Jul-Sep quarter compared to Rs 260 million in the same period a year ago.

National Aluminium Company Ltd:

National Aluminium Company Ltd. (Nalco) Wednesday informed the stock exchanges that due to unavoidable reasons, the announcement of Q2 results has been deferred.

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd:

Shoppers Stop: Shoppers Stop reported a decline of 11% in standalone net profit at Rs 11 crore for the second quarter ended September 30, 2016. It had posted a net profit of Rs 12 crore in July-September quarter a year ago.

Mphasis: The IT company registered 3% rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 211 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 against Rs 204 crore in the same quarter last year.

TD Power Systems: TD Power posted net profit of Rs 1.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 against net profit of Rs 1.1 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank: HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank on Thursday cut home loan rates by 0.15%.

Tube Investment: The company reported 113.3% rise in net profit at Rs 54 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2016 against Rs 25 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.

Berger Paints: The company reported a 55% jump in its consolidated net profit at Rs 139 crore for the quarter ended September, aided by exceptional gains of Rs 44.20 crore.

Stock Market News | Tata Motors Declines After JLR Reports

Tata Motors lost 2.58% to Rs 517.25 at 13:25 IST on BSE after Jaguar Land Rover reported a 7% growth in US sales at 8,751 units in October 2016 over October 2015.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 255.04 points or 0.91% at 27,621.57.

On BSE, so far 5.57 lakh shares were traded in the counter as against average daily volume of 7.90 lakh shares in the past one quarter. The stock hit a high of Rs 526.50 and a low of Rs 515.70 so far during the day. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 266 on 11 February 2016. The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 598.60 on 7 September 2016. The stock had under performed the market over the past one month till 1 November 2016, sliding 0.71% compared with 0.04% rise in the Sensex. The scrip had, however, outperformed the market in past one quarter, advancing 4.5% as against Sensex's 0.45% fall.

The large-cap company has equity capital of Rs 577.44 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

Jaguar US sales jumped 226% to 3,219 units in October 2016 over October 2015. Land Rover US sales declined 23% to 5,532 units in October 2016 over October 2015.

Tata Motors' consolidated net profit declined 57% to Rs 2260.40 crore on 10.1% rise in net sales to Rs 64940.12 crore in Q1 June 2016 over Q1 June 2015.

Tata Motors is a market leader in commercial vehicles in India. The company's British unit JLR sells premium luxury cars.
